Jo
Meet Jo
Jo describes herself as an idealist and dreamer tempered with a healthy dose of reality.
As a woman, mother, child, partner, and experienced counselor, Jo has explored the depths of trauma, both within herself and alongside those she supports in her work. Her personal journey involved navigating through trauma, grief, and pain, ultimately leading to a recognition of strength in unexpected and profound ways. These experiences have fueled her genuine commitment to providing a safe and nurturing space for others as they navigate their own challenges and victories.
Jo holds postgraduate qualifications in Counseling, with specialized training in EMDR and Clinical Hypnotherapy. Committed to ongoing learning, she is passionate about supporting others in ways that promote well-being and create the possibilities they deserve. Her training encompasses various areas, including trauma and anxiety, childhood trauma, perinatal loss and bereavement, and fertility. Jo is dedicated to continuous professional and personal development to ensure her clients receive the highest level of care. She proudly holds membership in professional bodies such as the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), Australian Counselling Association (ACA), Hypnotherapy Council of Australia (HCA), and the Guild of Australian Hypnotists (GOAH).
Jo not only works with individuals, she support couples in the perinatal space, giving parents and couples the opportunity to seek support as individuals, but also for their relationship (which we know is vital to this stage of life, particularly post-trauma).
Jo works from Stirling, Western Australia, as well as online via Zoom, with individuals and couples in Perth and throughout Australia.
