The birth circle
The Birth Circle is a casual, monthly meet up for women… pregnant, birthing and mothering, and birth workers.
Together with two amazing women, Cat Fancote (birth photographer) and Tessa Simcox (midwife), I facilitate The Birth Circle with our aim being to support, inspire and encourage women to make informed birth and postpartum choices. It is a safe space with freedom to discuss your fears and concerns, meet like-minded women, and find confidence and inspiration for your journey to motherhood.
Our meets are held on the first Friday of the month, in the Community Space at The Organic Circle in Armadale. Each month we choose a topic for discussion where we ask questions, seek answers, share experiences, and support each other. Past topics have included What is a Positive Birth?, Antenatal Education Options in Perth, Building your Support Network, and Mental Health in Pregnancy and Postpartum. We also on occasion have guest speakers such as physiotherapists and other modalities. It is a truly wonderful pregnancy support group, mothers group, and network-building circle.
You’ll be able to seek out wisdom from everyone in the circle, share experiences, support each other, and be informed. Speak with a midwife, doula, birth photographer, antenatal educator and counsellor.
We understand that many of our women come to these meets to connect with like-minded women, so at around 11am we will wrap up discussions to spend the next half an hour connecting and chatting over coffee, getting to know each other a bit better, and growing our tribes.
All are welcome to join us.
