7 Signs Your
Birth Trauma
Is Impacting
Your Relationship

You love your partner. You love your baby.
But since the birth, something has felt off.

Maybe you can’t explain it, but the closeness you once had feels harder to reach. You argue more. You misread each other’s tone. You feel like you’re carrying the emotional load alone, and they don’t seem to notice how much you’re holding together.

You’ve both changed, but not in the way you expected.

What you’re experiencing isn’t a lack of love, it may be the ripple effect of trauma.
When birth leaves you feeling powerless, unseen, or unsafe, your body holds on to those memories. And without realising it, they start shaping how you connect, communicate, and respond to the person closest to you.

Fiona Rogerson Birth Trauma Counsellor

A little about me

Hi, I'm Fiona

I’m a Perinatal and Trauma Counsellor for women who have experienced perinatal and birth trauma, and are weathering its ongoing impacts.

Using my signature RISE Framework around birth and perinatal trauma recovery, I lead a private practice of incredible, dedicated perinatal counsellors where every day we change lives.

As a mother of 3 myself, combined with years working as a birth and postnatal doula, childbirth educator, and now trauma therapist, my mission here is to support women on all sides of the dice… through antenatal education, counselling and therapy, and change within the system that brings them so much harm.
